Drawing Challenge: fairy tale

Drawing Challenge : Fairy tale

This weeks host is the lovely Tatjana.

I've been really busy this week grading assignments in readiness for the mid semester break. I decided for the challenge that I would consult my journals to find some work to submit for this challenge.
I didnt need to look far as earlier this year I participated in the sketchbook project and found this spread  from the sketchbook I submitted.
I like to think there is something Rapunzel-like about the tower within. The feeling of miniature also represent for me a fairytale world. A world within a droplet.....

Please make time to visit Tatjanas blog and follow the links to other wonderful responses to this weeks theme.

^^^ My sketchbook for the project if you wish to see other pics.

Helen your world within a droplet is great. I like the strong colors together. Who doesn't like the evocation of a tower. Oh my it gets the imagination going. Like this one a lot. *smiles* Norma
p.s. your words touched me. After a night's sleep I came to the same conclusion, so when I went to the machine to see what was what, I read your words and yes I need to stick to what I adore which is tea bag paper (used). I'm going to do that. It's a gift of life in these times, that one does not have to live/work in a vacuum because one is connected to the universe. People like you who give valuable feedback are enough the get the ball rolling again, creatively speaking. Thank you for that! Ciao.

rapunzel is one of my favourite fairy tales. your tower in the drop is wonderful - I can hear the prince calling "rapunzel, rapunzel, lass dein haar herunter!" grüße!

It was the perfect sketch for the theme maybe I was channelling Tatjana! HeeHeeHee!

Ive put a link at the bottom of the post to the one I did on the sketchbook before I sent it off.

I like the thought that if I manage to get to New York at the end of the year I can go to the Brooklyn library and 'borrow' my sketchbook from their collection.
