Drawing Challenge :: Shadow

Drawing Challenge :: SHADOW

This weeks challenge is hosted by our lovely Ariane who came up with a fabulous and challenging theme of shadow. My original idea has had to be filed away for another day as I was thwarted all week in my attempts to realise my idea that I had for this theme due to grey ol Melbourne winter light. Any shadows that were achieved were light wishy washy blah photos (not what I was trying to achieve).

Then in my desperation I went back to beginning and got basic - a single lamp, a blank wall and some objects. One of the objects was a blue glass vase and from there we have glass shadows quite beautiful dont you think?

If you are now curious to see what everyone else has done for this challenge I suggest you pop over to Arianes blog for a visit and follow the links to all the other challenge responses.

Have fun!

Helen x

Thanks for the lovely comments from such a lovely bunch. Im thinking maybe we could make this a challenge one day (when we run out of other ideas) would be interesting to see all the different glass shadow images we came up with since I know how creative all of you are.
Have a splendid week...everyone :)

there is nothing quite like glass and shadow and reflection- they all are so fluid and mesmerizing- and I especially love how many you've shared here- really makes the experience full!

one doesn't usual associate color with shadow, but there it is! how beautiful and abstract!
very very pretty.

thanks Rachel

I took them with my iphone too Id like to try it with my SLR on a tripod.

Iphone images have an unusual quality muted and soft.
